London called and we answered! When a $300 roundtrip, non-stop flight presents itself, you take it—even if it is the middle of winter.
While we were given a hard time for traveling to England in January, the weather ended up working completely in our favor. We were incredibly lucky and didn’t see a single drop of rain throughout our entire week in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, back at home, Northern California was flooding and pulling itself out of the drought.
We stayed in the cutest little flat in the Notting Hill area of London, where you can find a home matching nearly every color in the crayon box. The entire neighborhood is a such a dream. Exploring the streets by foot was our favorite pastime, and trying to figure out the “tube” kept us on our toes.
We drank way too many delicious, overpriced cocktails and ate way too many “chips” aka french fries. A highlight of our week was journeying away from the city to visit Stonehenge and the beautifully charming city of Bath, England.
Needless to say, this girl’s-trip U.K. holiday was a success! Here are some photo highlights, narrowed down from over 1,800 shots 😐
